The treatment matters
Water and detergent can change a cloth’s treatment. Follow the original care label rather than applying a generic fabric-washing routine.
A product-specific example
Sunshine’s FAQ explicitly says not to wash its polishing cloth. That instruction belongs to that product; confirm the instructions for any other cloth you buy.
For a custom order
Request the finished cloth’s written care instructions before approving artwork. Put the instruction on the individual pack or a care card so it stays with the product.
When to replace it
Ask the supplier what loss of performance, damage or contamination means for replacement. Colour alone is not a universal lifetime indicator.
